The Kalyana Lakshmi/ Shadhi Mubarak benefits 10 lakh poor in Telangana.

The chief minister Mr KCR’s pet welfare project that was launched seven years ago benefitted 10 lakh, poor families to date.

The Kalyana Lakshmi/ Shadhi Mubarak was aimed at helping the poor girls married unburdened their parents who hitherto had to take debts to do so.

Seeing the plight of parents and the poor girls, the chief minister Mr KCR came up with the idea to help such families and on October 2 in 2014, launched the scheme. Earlier, it was decided to give Rs 51,000 to SC/ST and Minorities and later extended to BCs as well. In 2017, the amount was enhanced to Rs 75,116 and on March 208, it was further made increased to Rs 1,0116.

So far a total of 10,56,239 poor girls were benefitted and the state government spent Rs 9,800 allocated for the purpose. Of which s far Rs 8,420.90 (85.89 per cent) was spent and nearly 56.25 BC benefitted from the scheme the highest among the beneficiaries.

In addition, the beneficiaries also get KCR kits and excellent medical care.

This is one of the major achievements proving that scheme fruitful.

It was introduced by the chief minister Mr KCR with a good intention after the formation of a separate Telangana state. In the recent past, another welfare scheme Rythu Bandhu also reaped rich dividends to the farmers for which the state government spent a whopping Rs 50,000 crore.
