In the latest report released by the Election Commission, the number of Telangana voters almost reached three crores, the exact figure being 2,99,92,941. Of them, women are 1.49 crore and men 1.50 crore. Those in the age group of 18 and 19 accounts for 2.78 lakhs.
Hyderabad district has the most number of voters (45 lakhs) while Mulugu district has the least number (2.08 lakhs). The commission said they organised a voters enrolment drive in 361 tribal hamlets and enrolled 2,800 new voters and also enrolled 312 transgenders in the voters’ list.
The voter list was completed with transparency, the commission said.
