Telangana launches AI-Based skill and employability enhancement platform for students of IIIT Basara

The Government of Telangana, in collaboration with MyPerfectice startup, has launched an AI-based skill enhancement platform for students of IIIT Basara to address the challenges of engineering education. The startup is part of Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM) under its RevvUp programme. The platform aims to address the challenges of engineering education by providing personalized learning recommendations to students based on their knowledge gap and enhancing their cognitive and programming skills as per industry demand through coding practice and self-learning modules.

A baseline survey has been completed for 1,500 students in the 3rd Year 2nd Semester. The platform offers continuous assessment, recommended learning, performance trend analytics, and a need-based intervention approach to impart skills and knowledge to students. With the help of technology and data insights, the platform empowers teachers and students to bring personalized learning to students. These courses are designed to develop the required proficiencies that align with industry requirements, ultimately enhancing students’ employability quotient.

The Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Jayesh Ranjan and the Secretary, Education Department, Karuna Vakati officially launched the program today at BRKR Bhavan along with Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Vice Chancellor I/c for RGUKT Basara and Smt. Rama Devi Lanka, Director Emerging Technologies Wing, ITEC. Students from IIIT Basara attended the event virtually.

Speaking at the launch of the ceremony, Sri. Jayesh Ranjan said, “I am pleased to launch this AI-based skill growth platform in collaboration with MyPerfectice startup. It is an excellent initiative that aligns with our vision of transforming the education system and creating a skilled workforce for the future. I am confident that this platform will increase employment opportunities for students.”

Speaking at the launch of the ceremony, Karuna Vakati, said she was delighted to be a part of the launch of this AI-based skill growth platform, which is a significant step towards transforming the education system. The platform’s personalized learning approach will enable students to enhance their core domain knowledge and programming skills through continuous evaluation, e-learning, classroom intervention, project, and internship recommendations.

The platform’s features such as a dashboard, discussion forum, assessments, and virtual classroom will make the learning process engaging and effective. This platform aligns with our vision of creating a skilled workforce for the future, and I am confident that it will enable students to achieve their learning outcomes and prepare for the future.
