Telangana government filled 20,897 teacher jobs in last 9 years

Contrary to the false propaganda by a certain section of individuals, the Telangana government did a good job in filling teacher posts in government schools and Gurukul educational institutions. In the last nine and half years, the government has recruited a total of 20,897 teachers. Recently, a Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) notification was released to fill 5,089 vacant teacher posts in government schools.

After state formation, 8,456 teacher jobs were filled in Telangana State Residential Educational Institution Societies and 8,792 teachers were recruited in government schools through TRT, earlier called DSC. In addition, 3,649 posts were filled in Gurukul Board which includes Junior Lecturers and Degree Lectures.

On the whole, against a promise of filling one lakh government jobs, CM KCR-led Telangana government has already filled more than 1.33 lakh jobs. Also, the process of recruitment for 80,000 more jobs is in various stages. A false narrative that teacher jobs are not being filled is being pushed by persons with ulterior motives. This propaganda is malicious and aimed at misleading the youth and people of Telangana.
