Lakhs of Telangana employees conducted protests during the Lunch Hour demanding the state government to lift false cases against Telangana activists and also honor the agreement made with them during the Telangana general strike (Sakala Janula Samme)
In Hyderabad, gazetted and non-gazetted employees belonging to 128 employee unions participated in the Lunch Hour protests. These included employees in Irrigation department (Jala Soudha), Electricity Department (Vidyut Soudha), Hyderabad Metro Water Works, Excise Department, Roads & Buildings department, Transport Department, Housing Board, and APTDC participated in these protests.
