Telangana BJP unit in tatters

The BJP is witnessing an unprecedented phase in its existence perhaps only in the Telangana state. The so-called discipline, ideology, ideal principle and practises were left to the wind. Utter chaos and confusion prevail within the party and is totally disorganised. The leaders particularly those who came from other parties are taking the toll. There is no order or respect for command for the leadership.

While the loyalists and long-time leaders maintained their usual composure, it is those who came from other parties who are creating a ruckus eroding the image of BJP in the state and elsewhere in the country. The statements reportedly made by MLA M Raghunandan Rao were detestable for the party. The party’s top leadership reportedly reprimanded him for his remarks. He sounded narcissistic when he claimed that the credit for his victory in Dubbak byelection goes to him and not to the party. He boasted that it was his victory that breathed a new lease of life for the BJP in Telangana.

Meanwhile, another newcomer Eatela Rajender and his lobby succeeded in unseating Bandi Sanjay from the party president post. But Rajender and his cronies only earned the ire of a large section of the party. One would see how he could get along leading the party in the ensuing elections. The Union Minister G Kishan Reddy who was appointed as the new chief of the party in the state seems not happy with his displacement at a time when the party seems divided and unwieldy.

A majority of the leaders having strong roots in RSS and those who served the organisation for the past three or four decades are witnessing the unveiling drama silently. They are also witnessing the antics of top leaders Mr Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda and others who gave up all decency and decorum for want of power.
