State government to introduce vocational courses in 100 schools.

 

 

The Telangana state government has decided to introduce vocational courses in 100 schools from the academic year 2022 and 2023
It was decided to start eight courses. It helps improve skill development among children.
The courses include agriculture, retail, tourism and hospitality, IT&ITES, beauty and wellness among others.
They will be introduced in 93 ZP schools and two model schools, five junior colleges.
Already vocational courses are being offered in 192 model schools. Those whined in 2020 and 202,a total of 71,345 students completed courses and obtained certificates.
More courses such as media and entertainment and physical education etc are being planned in the days to come.
The decision was taken to shape students’ jobs. It will also solve the shortage of skilled personnel in the state.
