The former CM of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Partu chief Akhilesh Yadav sought the cooperation and involvement of Telangana CM and BRS founder Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao in unseating the BJP at the Centre. Mr Yadav who met Mr KCR at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday closeted with him for about four hours. They both discussed the prevailing political atmosphere in the country.
Mr Yadav reportedly explained to Mr KCR about how the BJP was trying to tame the rival parties in various states. How it was weakening them by instigating ED, CBI and IT agencies against the leaders who are opposed to it. The continuance of BJP in power posed a threat to democracy and the federal spirit. It is high time that all the political parties in the country should unite to defeat the BJP in the ensuing Parliamentary elections, he said.
Mr Yadav said the BRS leader Mr KCR waged a peaceful agitation to secure statehood to the Telangana region. He has a lot of experience in public life and has political acumen. Mr Yadav urged Mr KCR to join hands with the opposition parties and guide them. BRS has emerged as a formidable force in the country. The growing public patronage to the party in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and other states is proof.
The meeting between Akhilesh Yadav and Mr KCR assumed national significance. The television channels conducted special debates on the meeting. The BRS party is making a presence felt in all states and is expected to lead other parties.
