Revanth becomes a laughing stock at national level over ‘family politics’ remarks

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has become a laughing stock at the national level for his remarks on family politics in the Assembly on Wednesday. In a failed bid to take a jibe at BRS working president and MLA KT Rama Rao, Revanth said, “We can’t enter politics by using our father’s and grandfather’s names. After working hard, we rose to politics from the lower level.”

However, these comments took an unexpected turn when KTR quickly retorted, questioning whether Revanth was referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi or former PM Rajiv Gandhi. This retaliation by KTR went viral on social media, with people criticizing Revanth for making loose remarks about family politics in the august house.

Soon, Revanth’s video was picked up at the national level, with many wondering if Revanth was indirectly taking a dig at the Congress party, of which he is a part. Some social media users also pointed out the hypocrisy of Revanth in discussing family politics while being part of the Congress party, which has been run by a family for decades.
