Finance Minister T Harish Rao has asked the Union Finance Minister Ms Nirmala Sitaraman to release all the pending GST dues to Telangana state. He said the issue was brought to the notice of the GST council but dues were pending for two years. The minister who took part in the 50th GST council meeting in New Delhi met the Union Finance minister and apprised her of the problems facing Telangana state.
Mr Harish Rao also met Union Jal Shakthi minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat and urged him to increase Krishna river water allotment to Telangana state. He said as per the directions of the Central government, they withdrew the case in Supreme Court but the Centre failed to constitute the Krishna River water tribunal. He demanded for 50 per cent of Krishna river water and clearance for all the pending projects on river Godavari.
