Ex-DGP Pervaram Ramulu has announced that he would be joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in a couple of days. He is expected to formally join TRS on 27th April, during the 11th Anniversary celebrations of the party.
Pervaram was born in 1944 at Khilashapur village in Warangal district. He did his graduation from Kakatiya University, Warangal and was pursuing his Master of Arts in English at Osmania University when he got selected to IPS in 1967.
Ramulu went on to become the DGP of the state in 2001. Later he also served as the chairman of APPSC.
Speculation is rife that Pervaram Ramulu might be fielded as the TRS nominee from Parakala assembly seat in the upcoming bypolls.
