Namasthe Telangana – the much awaited Telangana Telugu daily newspaper will be launched on 6th June at 11 AM in Ravindra Bharati.
Published by Telangana Publications Pvt Ltd, the newspaper is creating history even before it is launched. Reliable sources indicate that the newspaper has reached a subscription base of about 7 lakhs – which is equivalent to the subscription base of established Seemandhra newspapers like Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy.
Senior journalist Allam Narayana has joined as the Chief Editor of this newspaper and Katta Shekar Reddy is serving as the CEO.
It is a well known fact that the print and electronic media in Andhra Pradesh are dominated by business houses from Andhra and Rayalaseema region. And these media houses are showing a lot of bias in covering Telangana agitation.
With the entry of HMTV and T News – two Telangana based channels, people of Telangana started getting some positive coverage about Telangana region.
With the launch of Namasthe Telangana, we can hope that lakhs of Telanganites will now know the real facts about the agitation.
