Mr Modi’s government is bracing up to whip people once again.

Come July 18, the prices of several essential items that people need the most will cost more.

Following the Central Board Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) recommendations, the GST council has decided to impose a tax on footwear, leather products, LED bulbs, Circuit boards, Pencil sharpeners, and Blades, Spoons, Forks, Hotel and Hospital rooms.

Printing or drawing ink and printed circuit board will be taxed 18 percent from the present 12 percent; GST on leather goods will be raised to 12 percent from the existing five percent; solar heaters and systems will be taxed 12 percent from the present five percent; cutting blades, knives, pencil sharpeners, spoons, forks will be taxed 18 percent GST; machinery used to clean and grade seeds and wet grinders will be taxed 18 percent GST; Bank cheque book will be taxed 18 percent.

The BJP government is not even leaving the graveyards – it has decided to impose an 18 percent tax on contracts of graveyards.

The list goes on and on.

People across the country are very angry with the BJP government at centre. They are silent and are likely to teach a befitting lesson at an appropriate time to the party.
