In a clear case of misuse of power, leaders from the Congress party are participating in official government meetings. These party members, who do not hold any official positions, are observed sitting alongside the Chief Minister, ministers, and collectors.
Furthermore, in many districts, Congress party MLA candidates who lost in the elections are presiding over government meetings. The ruling party leaders are violating protocol by sidelining elected MLAs from opposition parties. Shockingly, it is not just local leaders; even the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charges of Telangana are attending government scheme launch programs.
In recent times, a series of such events have sparked controversy in the state:
- AICC in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray attended the inauguration ceremony of the Mahalakshmi scheme, providing free bus journeys for women.
- AICC in-charge Deepa Das Munshi participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Gruha Jyothi scheme.
- AICC in-charge Deepa Das Munshi held a meeting with civil society representatives.
- Anumula Tirupati Reddy, brother of Revanth Reddy, was seated next to the District Collector and the Assembly Speaker in a government meeting in Vikarabad.
- Tirupathi Reddy, brother of Revanth Reddy, occupied a seat on the stage during an official meeting in the Kodangal municipality.
- Defeated Congress MLA candidate Enugu Ravinder Reddy was seated on the stage during the Sevalal Jayanthi celebrations organized by the state government in Banswada.
- Minister Konda Surekha invited defeated MLA candidate Kommuri Pratap Reddy onto the stage during an official government review program on Komuravelli Jathara.
- AICC Minority Division Vice Chairman Anil Thomas sat next to CM Revanth Reddy in a review meeting held at the Telangana Secretariat.
