The new steel bridge of 2.63 kilometres extending from Indira Park to VST in Hyderabad city will be commissioned by the Municipal Administration Minister Mr KT Rama Rao on Saturday, August 19. It will ease the traffic congestion on the important road passing through Ashok Nagar and RTC crossroads. Those proceeding towards OU, Hindi Maha Vidyalaya and Baghlingampally roads will be benefitted.
The flyover was built with a cost of Rs. 450 crore and GHMC did not acquire any land for the purpose. This is considered to be a prestigious addition to the city’s infrastructure. This is the 36th project completed of the total 48 projects taken up under the SRDP by the Telangana state government.
Chief Minister Mr KCR has decided to name this longest steel flyover after the late trade union leader and former Home Minister Mr Nayini Narasimha Reddy who was also the leader of VST workers and led many workers movements in the state.
