Despite the Congress government’s announcement of zero bills for those consuming less than 200 units of electricity starting from March, many residents across the state are still receiving bills as usual.
While some individuals have received zero bills, others have not. When questioned, electricity department officials stated that those who haven’t enrolled their ration card and Aadhaar number are receiving bills as per the old system. In response, residents were advised to reapply for the scheme.
Some even expressed frustration, claiming they had previously submitted their ration card and Aadhaar card details in their Praja Palana applications and questioned what had happened to them.
