Leaders from across country arrive in Telangana to take on CM KCR

It was very surprising to find many leaders from New Delhi and other parts of the country arriving in Hyderabad for the Telangana assembly elections. BRS working president Mr KT Rama Rao during one of his campaign meetings told people that all the tall and mighty leaders from New Delhi are coming to the state to take on his father who is very simple and powerless before them and their claims. But there was no answer from either the Congress or the BJP.

In fact, it is none other than Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi who is apparently busy all the time trotting the globe frequently visited Hyderabad and toured the districts. In his last visit, he camped for three days in Hyderabad touring and addressing public meetings in various districts. The BJP drafted – Union Home Minister Amita Shah, another very busy leader; party national leader JP Nadda, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and scores of union ministers who went on attending meetings in various districts assigned to them by their party.

The Congress leaders – Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka chief minister Sidda Ramaiah, deputy chief minister D K Siva Kumar, senior leaders Jayaram Ramesh and scores of others made very frequent visits. Mr Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi camped for two or three days during their frequent visits taking part in many public meetings on each day across the Telangana state. All of them both the Congress and BJP leaders targeted CM KCR’s family and alleged the state did not witness any development. They accused the BRS leaders of amassing wealth and misusing power.

Their speeches did not go down well with the masses as none of them knew the Telugu language. They spoke in Hindi and the speeches were poorly translated by the local leaders. The crowds were happy seeing them who are very often seen only on television and just it. But leaders of both parties claimed they were forming the next government in the Telangana state which only evoked laughter among locals.

Most of them lacked proper knowledge of local dynamics and they only depended on information fed to them by the local leaders who were dead against the BRS party and CM KCR. It was nothing new but they should have at least presented the facts to their Delhi bosses even if they were making allegations against CM KCR and his party. The less we talk about the abilities and knowledge of local leaders, the better. Irony.
