Telangana Jagruthi leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha was welcomed by thousands of Telangana activists at Shamshabad airport. She was then taken to the Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park in a huge rally comprising of hundreds of vehicles.
Earlier, there were emotional scenes at the airport as Martyr Srikantha Chary’s mother Shankaramma hugged Kavitha as soon as she came out of the airport lounge. Kavitha too turned very emotional and wept holding Shankaramma.
Telangana activists brought Bathukamma and Bonalu to the airport to welcome Kavitha. The rally took almost three hours to reach Gun Park. Telangana activists showered gulal, distributed sweets and burst crackers en route.
After reaching Gun Park, Kavitha paid floral tributes to the fallen martyrs. She remembered Telangana idealogue Prof Jayashankar.
Kavitha then called upon the Telangana activists to start working towards Telangana reconstruction now.
