Hitachi Offers to Make Hyd Smarter

Hitachi has expressed willingness to partner with the Telangana government in providing Smart City Solutions, which could enable direct and regular interaction between the Chief Minister and the general public.

CEO and managing director of Hitachi Solutions India Ananthanarayanan, Mike Gillis president and Global Chief Operating Officer, Hitachi Solutions America, Gary Peterson executive vice-president Hitachi and others called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the latter’s camp-office on Saturday.

The CEO of Hitachi told the Chief Minister that they had their presence in Telangana since 2013 and would like to start their second operations in Hyderabad from August this year. He requested Rao to inaugurate the operations and said Hitachi was keen on offering its global solutions to make Hyderabad a smarter city.

The Chief Minister told the Hitachi delegation that any investor would be very happy to start an industry in and around Hyderabad and referred to the government’s new industrial policy.

Rao evinced keen interest in Hitachi’s solutions like the multiple smart card system and suggested that the company explore the possibilities of introducing the same in the state. The CM also suggested that Hitachi explore the possibility of establishing a plant in the State.
