‘Good riddance’: Harish Rao on the expulsion of Ponguleti and Jupally

The BRS senior leader and Health minister T Harish Rao said it was good riddance that both Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao were expelled from the party. Rather than entertaining them as they went on backstabbing the party, it is better to see them out of the party. Mr Srinivas Reddy was responsible for the debacle of the party in Khammam district in the last elections. This time it will be reversed as the BRS will win nine seats and may lose just one – an opposite result to that of 2018.

Mr Harish Rao toured Kothagudem and Khammam districts to distribute podu land pattas to tribals on Friday. He said the Congress leaders are in an upbeat mood by admitting the leaders the BRS rejected. There is no loss to the BRS party. It is hale and healthy as ever and will get the thumping number of seats in forthcoming Assembly elections again.

Listing out the ten benefits the podu farmers would be getting henceforth, Mr Harish Rao challenged the BJP and Congress party leaders to show one state ruled by them implementing as many welfare schemes as BRS doing in Telangana state. “There is visible development on all fronts. People are happy compared to the past. There is no discontent as being claimed by the BJP and Congress parties. People still revere chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao not only delivered Telangana but brought about a radical change in the lives of people,” Mr Harish Rao said. Khammam MLA and Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy resorted to anti-party activities. It is better to throw such persons out. The party cadre should be vigilant against such people,” he said.
