Gift A Smile: KTR distributes laptops to 100 students at State Home on his birthday

As part of his annual Gift A Smile initiative, KTR has once again launched a humanitarian program on occasion of his birthday. This time, he has decided to support the families of 13 weavers who committed suicide in the state, providing financial aid for their children’s education and future needs.

KTR celebrated his birthday in the presence of students in Hyderabad, where he distributed laptops to 100 students of the State Home. He mentioned that the laptops would be useful for the students’ higher education.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, KTR decided to celebrate his birthday by helping others, thus starting the Gift A Smile initiative. He called upon his well-wishers, fans, party leaders, and workers to participate in this program.

Every year since, KTR has been involved in various service activities as part of the Gift A Smile program. Over the past five years, he has provided more than 100 ambulance vehicles and tablets to 6,000 students for competitive exams, as well as three-wheeler scooters to 1,400 differently-abled individuals. He mentioned that he had intended to give laptops to State Home students last year but couldn’t due to elections. He fulfilled that promise this year.

KTR expressed great satisfaction with the program he has been running for the past five years. He stated that, as elders say, only birth and death are certain, while everything in between is uncertain. Thus, engaging in activities that bring satisfaction to the heart gives him the most happiness. His wife Shailima, son Himanshu, and daughter Riyanshi joined him in this event.
