According to reports, the ground-breaking ceremony of the global electronics major – Foxconn’s new manufacturing plant in Hyderabad will take place on May 15. The Taiwanese company’s investment in Telangana will create around 1 lakh jobs.
It has to be recalled that Foxconn Chairman Young Liu met CM KCR in March and evinced his interest to invest in Telangana. Later, Liu also participated in the inauguration of the T-Works facility along with Minister KT Rama Rao. The Telangana government’s working style has received high praise from Liu, and a few days later, he reaffirmed Foxconn’s commitment to invest in the state and invited CM KCR to visit Taiwan.
It was reported that Foxconn will set up an Apple Airpods manufacturing plant in Hyderabad and recently they won a contract for the same from Apple. Foxconn is a Taiwan-based multinational electronics manufacturing company that works for global giants like Apple. Nearly 40 per cent of the electronics sold across the globe are produced by Foxconn.
