Eatela Rajender becomes a pawn in the game of party high command

The BJP MLA Eatela Rajender who has been in the news for the past few days seems to have become a pawn in the game of party high command. His situation can be termed as he is neither here nor there. With his avarice and power hungry attitude, he lost his relevance for now. As downfall started when he tried to outsmart his master and well-wisher Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao, president of BRS party and Chief Minister of Telangana. It was he who fostered Eatela since the beginning of the Telangana movement. There were many leaders who rubbed shoulders with Mr KCR but everybody towed his line.

However, Eatela Rajender who assumed himself more than his size went off challenging the party authority and claimed himself as co-owner of the party. It was Mr KCR who conceived and formed the party. He carried on even when people left him halfway through his mission of separate Telangana. The party was a result of his blood and sweat. Eatela Rajender with his loose tongue fell out of the grace of Mr KCR and dug his own grave.

After joining the BJP, now he finds himself nowhere as he is not much cared for. He and his followers are marketing claiming his seniority and experience as a minister. But the BJP saw many leaders of his ilk. The party prefers to go with long-time loyalists rather than believe in newcomers who only eye the power rather than contribute to the party’s prosperity. Now with his adamant attitude and leaking the inter affairs of the party, he is damaging the BJP as well. The party seems to have split vertically between long-timers and newcomers like Eatela Rajender. Now, he is eyeing the BJP state president post. There were rumours that he will be made campaign committee chairman. He is also reportedly pressuring the party to announce his candidature as Chief Minister. They were all rumours being spread by his followers.
