Dissatisfaction against the TPCC leadership in Khammam

Dissatisfaction against the TPCC leadership has been getting intensified in Khammam Congress in view of the latest developments. Firstly, many leaders are not happy with former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy joining the party. His entry has affected the political prospects of several leaders who aspired to get the party ticket to contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections. Secondly, the reports of former minister Thummala Nageshwar Rao weighing options to join Congress has come as a shocker to many.

TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy’s meeting with Nageshwar Rao in Hyderabad to bring him into the party has made many to sulk against the party leadership. It may be noted that it was Srinivas Reddy who worked against Nageshwar Rao in the last Assembly elections and ensured his defeat in the fight for Palair Assembly seat. Srinivas Reddy’s followers are of the opinion that Revanth Reddy invited Nageshwar Rao to the Congress party to keep a check on the former MP.

Further Srinivas Reddy intends to contest from Palair Assembly constituency and he faced a setback in the form of Nageshwar Rao who also wants to contest from Palair, where he faced defeat in the last elections. Nageshwar Rao reportedly agreed to contest from Khammam if YSRTP leader YS Sharmila joins the party as Sharmila also intends to contest from Palair. On the other hand, senior leader Renuka Chowdhary is worried over her future if Nageshwar Rao and Sharmila join the party. Renuka Chowdhary too wants to contest from Khammam seat.
