Representatives of the civil society found fault with the union government for prevaricating on the Telangana statehood issue. They opined that consensus on such issues is not possible and only the opinion of majority has to be taken into consideration.
Eminent people hailing from all walks of the society participated in a meeting organized by Telangana Co-ordination Committee. Those who participated in the meeting included retired Supreme court Judge Justice Sudarshan Reddy, MLC Chukka Ramaiah, Ex IT Advisor to AP Government T. Hanuman Choudary, senior journalist Potturi Venkateshwara Rao, Padma Sri Prasada Rao, Justice Ambati Laxman Rao, Dr. Somaraju, Prof Gopal Kishan, Majid Khan, Pasham Yadagiri etc.
All the members who participated in the meeting urged the youth not to commit suicides for Telangana.
