CPI general secretary AB Bardhan severely criticized the UPA government for dilly-dallying on the Telangana issue. He said CPI would leave no stone un-turned to achieve statehood for Telangana. He reiterated that Hyderabad is an integral part of Telangana.
Other leaders who attended the meeting included Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Deputy Secretary General CPI, Puvvada Nageshwara Rao MLC, K Ramakrishna, Palla Venkat Reddy Ex. MLA, Ajeez Pasha, MP.
CPI’s peoples organizations like AITUC, and Raithu Sangham, members attended the meeting in large numbers. Praja Natya Mandali cultural troupe rendered Telangana folk songs.
It is estimated that over 1 lakh people attended this meeting.
