The Telangana government has decided to increase the coverage under Aarogya Sri services up to Rs. 5 lakh from the existing Rs. 2 lakh. The Arogya Sri Healthcare Trust took the decision following the instructions of CM K Chandrashekhar Rao. Health minister T Harish Rao chairing the trust meeting said the new cards would soon be issued to the beneficiaries.
The card will have the details such as the name of the beneficiary, gender, date of birth, card number and photographs of CM KCR, logo of state government and Aaryoga Sri trust. It will also have a Quick Response (QR) code which will fetch all the details of the beneficiary on scanning. Minister Harish Rao asked the officials to expedite the work and make available the Aarogya Sri health cards available at the earliest.
