CM KCR to visit Maharashtra on August 1

BRS founder and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be leaving for a one-day visit to Maharashtra on August 1 (Tuesday). He would take part in the birth anniversary celebrations of noted Dalit poet Anna Bhau Sathe. The celebrations are being held at Wategao taluka in Sangli district. Inspired by Dr. BR Ambedkar, Anna Bhau Sathe joined the Dalit movement and strove for the upliftment of the community. He played a key role in the unity of Maharashtra.

Mr KCR would later proceed to Kolhapur and offer special prayers at the historic Ambabai temple. He would then return to Hyderabad. The local peoples’ organisations and BRS party leaders were making elaborate arrangements to make Mr KCR’s tour a grand success.
