CM KCR to rollout action plan for Telangana Formation Day celebrations at BRS Party meeting

The joint meeting of BRS party senior functionaries and elected representatives to be held at the party state headquarters in Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday is going to rollout plans ahead of the Assembly elections to be held later this year.

This meeting has assumed importance as the BRS government is going to complete nine years in power on June 2. BRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is expected to put forth an action plan and set a direction on the party activities over the next six months ahead of the Assembly polls in the State. All the BRS MLAs, MLCs and MPs will be attending the meeting.

The meeting will be focusing on the preparations for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations to be held on June 2 and the celebrations will be held for 21 days. The occasion will be used to highlight the Telangana model of development to the people of the country.

The state government is preparing publicity material and documentaries showcasing different welfare and developmental schemes implemented across departments. The Chief Minister expects party leaders make use of the opportunity to take the development and welfare programmes undertaken by the BRS government in the last nine years to the doorsteps of the public.

The outcome of the just concluded Karnataka Assembly elections is likely to be discussed in the meeting. The party leadership believes that the BJP will not have a significant impact on the Telangana Assembly elections, especially after its defeat in Karnataka.
