CM KCR to inaugurate renovated temple at Valmidi in Jangaon on Sep 4

Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao will visit the Jangaon district on September 4 and inaugurate the renovated Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple at Valmidi village in Palakurthy Mandal. The temple which has a long history was in dilapidated condition for some time. MLA and minister Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao and the local people had taken up the task of restoring it to its past glory and constructing a beautiful temple. The idols of the main deities will be re-installed at a grand ceremony being planned there.

It is believed that Maharshi Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana, belonged to this village and Lord Rama moved here during his exile. Celebrations are planned from September 1 to 4. It will be attended by ministers A Indrakaran Reddy, T Harish Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, V Srinivas Goud and other public representatives.

About 30,000 people are expected to turn for the event. Minister Mr Dayakar Rao flagged off six publicity vehicles on Tuesday that will tour all the six mandals appealing to people to take part in the grand ceremony.
