Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao keeping up his word has delivered the much-awaited promise – waiving farm loans of farmers in the state. A total of 29.61 lakh of farmers will benefit from the gesture. The state government will be spending Rs. 19,000 crore for the purpose. The Opposition parties have been trying to gain political mileage accusing the BRS government of failing to waive farmers’ loans. CM KCR did not go back on his promise. He has been delivering the promises he made one by one.
The state government has already waived loans to the tune of Rs. 17,351 crore. Even in 2014, CM KCR made the promise of freeing the farmers from the bank debt and kept up his promise. Once again in 2018, he promised the farmers and delivered it now. He asked the concerned officials to complete the exercise within 45 days from now.
The BRS government is true to its commitment to the welfare of the farmers. From sowing to post-harvest, they are getting support from the state government. The Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, free power and irrigation water and procurement of the produce at Minimum Support Price (MSP) – everything is taken care of by the state government as uttered by CM KCR.
