CM KCR announces house site and Rs One crore to Padma awardee, Mogilaiah.



Chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao announced a house site and rupees one crore to Kinnera instrument player Darshanam Mogilaiah who bagged Padmasri award.


The artiste met the chief minister at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday. Mr KCR felicitated the artiste and showered praises on him for making Telangana folk proud.


Speaking on the occasion, Mr KCR said the government was committed to preserving and promoting the culture and also protecting and honouring the artistes. Many artistes were getting monthly honororium from the state government.


The chief minister showered praises on Mogiliaiah for preserving the instrument and art form that are on the verge of extinction.


Mr KCR asked MLA G Balaraju to help the artistes in all manners. Ministers Srinivas Goud and Ch Malla Reddy and others were present.
