With leaders divided on various issues ahead of the Assembly elections, the Congress party is rocked by chaos and confusion still. Senior leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy who claims to be calling the shots remains sulked. He is denied of any party position related to the ensuing elections in the TPCC. He feels he is being ignored and is staying away from the party programmes.
The AICC leaders tried to convince him and Mr KC Venugopal met him assuring him of justice. But in vain. Recently the TPCC constituted eight committees for the forthcoming Assembly elections but Mr Venkat Reddy was not given any position in any committee. He neither got any position in CWC nor committees constituted for the Telangana state elections.
Rumours are abuzz that he is bracing up for a showdown with the party leadership. It is also rumoured that he might leave the party vexed with the attitude of the party’s high command continuously ignoring him. Though the TPCC leaders put up a show of comradery outwards, they remain divided internally opposing each other. The party is yet to release its list of candidates contesting for the forthcoming Assembly elections. Once it is announced, more bickering may come out.
