Chandrababu’s indirect support to Revanth irks Congress leaders

Once upon a time, leaders from the Reddy community worked together with the late Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy to fight against the dominance of the Kamma community leaders. They were successful in their effort and dethroned N Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister.

Now, Chandrababu Naidu is indirectly extending his support to his disciple Revanth Reddy by not contesting in the Telangana assembly elections. However, this decision is not going well with the Reddy leaders in the Congress. They are in a dilemma whether Naidu’s support to the Congress is genuine or is Babu trying to use Revanth as his proxy and meddle in the affairs of Telangana?

With the cash-for-vote episode, Chandrababu’s hold on Telangana politics is completely lost and he is searching for a chance to interfere in Telangana once again. If Congress forms the government in Telangana and Revanth becomes the CM, Babu is anticipating an opportunity to control Telangana politics from behind. This is exactly the reason Babu decided to not field TDP candidates in the elections so that the Kamma community votes wouldn’t be split.

All these latest developments are irking the Reddy leaders and also the high command of the Congress party. The Congress party leaders are now perplexed and scratching their heads.
