BRS working president KTR cautions people against anti-Telangana forces

Lashing out at the Opposition parties that are engaged in false propaganda against the ruling BRS party, the party working president Mr KT Rama Rao appealed to people to be cautious against such parties. In a tete-a-tete with the media persons, he shared his views on the present political scenario at length here. He faulted both the BJP and Congress party leaders who were dead against the interests of the people of Telangana.

As the elections are nearing, all sundry people are arriving in the state claiming to be champions of Telangana. “Does Sharmila, KVP Ramachander Rao, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy and Revanth Reddy have anything to do with Telangana anytime?” Mr. KTR posed. The TPCC president Mr A Revanth Reddy proved himself as a pest to the Telangana state by spitting venom on the ruling party and misleading people on every count.

Making impractical promises is nothing but blatant cheating of people. He harassed and intimidated people who were active during Telangana movement. He is now dreaming of becoming chief minister of the state. What a pity, the BRS leader quipped. The same is the case with BJP leader G Kishan Reddy. He refused to resign for the cause of separate Telangana from the MLA post. Now he is also dreaming of becoming chief minister of the state, he said.

KTR said that leaders of both BJP and Congress are puppets in the hands of their Delhi bosses. They do not have any say in any matter and can never make a decision in the interest of the people of Telangana. When Telangana state is denied its due funds, neither of the parties questions the Central government over the injustice. They are concerned with amassing their personal wealth rather than caring for the people and their welfare, he added.

Mr Rama Rao termed the BJP’s plan for ‘One Nation, One Election’ and renaming of India as Bharat are cheap tricks aimed at diverting the public attention. The BJP leaders are fearing a debacle in the ensuing Parliament elections and are coming out with all kinds of antics. The BRS leader asserted that his party would win over 90 Assembly seats in the forthcoming elections in Telangana. The surveys commissioned by the Opposition parties too reveal that the BRS remains a formidable force in the state.

The Congress would only give competition in about 40 seats. The BJP has no candidates worth contesting the elections. Both parties end up vying for the second position while the BRS will comfortably come back to power for the third consecutive term. These Revanth Reddy and Kishan Reddy are not at all competition to CM KCR and none can beat him, the BRS leader said.
