The ruling BRS party which has completed one round of people’s reach out is set to formally launch the election campaign from Warangal on October 16. Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao has already hinted out the Warangal party unit leaders to this effect. It is planned to mobilise 10 lakh people creating a spectacle formally launching the Assembly election campaign.
The meeting will be held on 150 acres of land and earmarking another 200 acres for parking at Devannapet village on the Warangal outskirts. The erstwhile Warangal district has been favourable to the BRS since its formation and CM KCR seems to be having sentiment towards the district. The people of the district stood with the BRS through thick and thin.
The ruling party has already conducted umpteen number of programmes reaching out to the people in recent months. The meeting is meant for the official launch of the election campaign. Important leaders of the district were alerted on the issue and preparations are already underway. It was decided to move every hamlet, thanda and village for the meeting. The meeting is expected to be a milestone in the party affairs.
The public meetings held by the BRS party in 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2017 were a big hit in the political history of the state. Meanwhile, the party sources are hinting that the CM KCR had already completed the exercise of finalising candidates for 80 to 87 seats and may likely release the same in this month.
