BRS plans to gain upper hand in Maharashtra politics

With the BRS founder president K Chandrasekhar Rao planning to address a series of public meetings ahead of Parliament elections, the party focuses on winning as many seats as possible in Maharashtra. Mr Rao is contemplating addressing at least 30 public meetings in the 36 districts in Maharashtra before the election schedule is announced. The party had already enrolled 20 lakh people into the party and targets to enroll another 30 lakh soon.

The BRS has constituted state and district-level committees and going in a big way with its ‘Abki bar kisan sarkar’ slogan that has enchanted lakhs of people in the state. Scores of leaders from Shiv Sena, Congress, BJP and other parties joined the BRS. The BRS has got a very good public response in the state. The farmers and general public are attracted by the welfare measures such as free power, Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Laxmi among others attracted the people across Maharashtra and they are eagerly waiting for the BRS party to make inroads into the state.

Mr KCR had already addressed several meetings in the state where he spelt out the party’s plans for the Maharashtra development.
