Minister KTR said that Telangana is the only state which has provided drinking water to every household. He said that quality education is being provided to women and that is why female students from the state are getting seats in IITs. Minister KTR participated in ‘Women Ask KTR’ programme as part of Future Forward Telangana at ITC Kakatiya, Begumpet in Hyderabad on Sunday.
KTR answered many questions during interaction with women. He said women play the main role in joint families and spent his childhood in a joint family. He said he has seen many strong women leaders in my life. Many women like Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Nikhat Zareen are excelling in sports from Hyderabad. Programs like Srinidhi are helping the upliftment of women.
The BRS government has taken many programmes for the development of women and provided interest free loans to women to create wealth. Women started small scale industries as government up four industrial parks for women. For the first time in the country, the BRS government set up V-Hubs for women entrepreneurs. Women are very strong emotionally. Although not in the manifesto, the government started schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, Amma Odi and KCR Kits for women.
Special facilities are being provided to women and pregnant women in government hospitals. This has increased the percentage of deliveries in government dispensaries. Hyderabad is safe for women, KTR said.
