Asia’s largest Dignity Housing community project at Kollur to be inaugurated by CM KCR

One would definitely say ‘That is KCR’ if one goes around the double bedroom housing at Kollur in Tellapur mandal of Sangareddy district. As many as 15,660 houses were constructed with a cost of Rs. 1432.50 crore on 145 acres of land. This project has a total of 117 blocks and 234 lifts with generators. The roads of 36 and 20 meters on the outside and eight and six-meter on the inside were laid. A total of 12 underground water sumps were constructed and each sump has a capacity to store 11 lakh litres of water. The campus also has a wastewater treatment plant.

This campus accommodates one lakh families and is named ‘KCR Nagar’ and it will have a bus stand, police station, municipal office, government hospital, Public Health Centre, temple, church and mosque, three shopping complexes, school, and Anganwadi centre. Each sector will have milk booths, function halls, graveyards, banks, ATMs, post offices, vegetable markets, petrol bunks and community centres. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would be inaugurating this new campus and he would distribute the double bedrooms to beneficiaries at the formal function on Thursday.
