Asaduddin, practice before you preach

By Ramachandraiah

MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi either thinks the public have amnesia or he thinks he is too smart. Otherwise how can we understand his utterances in front of media yesterday?

For the record, Asaduddin accused that TRS was hand-in-glove with BJP and deliberately defeated its own candidate Syed Ibrahim in Mahabubnagar by-polls. He also went on to say that TRS is trying to repeat the same act in Parakala election. He advised TRS not to align with ‘communal’ BJP.

Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi should realize that the people expect better stuff from this London educated politician. Not such baseless and false accusations.

It is an open fact that MIM has never really supported the Telangana statehood movement. In fact it has worked openly against TRS nominee Syed Ibrahim in Mahabubnagar by-polls. At least two of its MLAs secretly canvassed for the Congress candidate in this constituency. By doing so, they have directly contributed to the loss of Syed Ibrahim. If someone has to be blamed for the loss of a Muslim candidate in Mahabubnagar, then MIM should be the first one on that list.

By playing short-sighted political games, MIM has deliberately spoilt a golden opportunity to send a Muslim representative to the state assembly. MIM leadership should stop preaching other political parties and start practicing some values on their own.
