The BRS MLC K Kavitha has accused a section of the media of maligning her and her party in the Delhi liquor policy case.
She said she had nothing to do with one Sukesh Chandrasekhar and described it as a fake chat. The media without verifying the truth in the issue jumped to conclusions and damaged her image and her party, she said.
Kavitha added that it was surprising to see how quickly the BJP MLA M Raghunandhan Rao approached Enforcement Directorate demanding action against me and derecognise my party. So also BJP D Aravind used social media to tarnish her image. “The BJP controlling a section of the media is playing the dirty game. They are unable to face CM KCR directly and hence resorted to cheap tricks,” she added.
The MLC said that it was unfortunate that journalists are fast losing their credibility by purveying one-sided news misleading the people and damaging the image of public representatives. “In the past also the media behaved hastily in her the matter of my mobile phones and later realised the mistake. They should remember that the people of Telangana will not spare such biased behaviour,” she added.
