The much-awaited announcement was made today by the chief minister Mr KCR in Assembly. The state government has decided to regularise over 11,000 contract employees and recruit over 80,000 jobs in various departments.
More than 90,000 people get government jobs now. The notification process will begin immediately.
In his prolonged speech, the chief minister explained that the delay was on account of differences with the AP government, Court cases, and the constitution of new zonal rules. The new zonal rules will benefit the local candidates which was the dream for a long period. The jobs were cornered by non-local in the past regimes but now the TRS government brought out foolproof rules to benefit the local candidates.
The State government will be burdened by Rs 7,000 crore per year towards salaries but it had boldly taken the decision. True to its slogan for water, resources, and jobs, the TRS kept its word.
The chief minister read out vacancies in each department, zone, and district in detail in his speech.
Soon after his statement announcing the job recruitment, party cadre and unemployed youth came onto roads. They celebrated the announcement by bursting crackers and distributing sweets. Massive celebrations were witnessed at the coaching centres.
Since yesterday people were waiting eagerly as Mr KCR promised to make an important statement in Assembly today. Since morning across the state, people remained glued to the TV.
It was a masterstroke by chief minister Mr KCR and it will now silence the Opposition parties that were trying to create unrest among the youth in the state. Now they are speechless.
