TRS cadre gear up to celebrate Deeksha Diwas, the day KCR undertook fast unto death.

The ruling TRS party leaders and party workers are planning to organise different programmes commemorating tge Deeksha Diwas, the day when the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao undertook fast unto death 13 years ago spearheading the movement for separate Telangana.
In 2009 when he was proceeding to Karimnagar to undertake the protest, he was arrested by the police and sent to Khammam jail. Later he was shifted to NIMS hospital in Hyderabad. There he continued his fast unto death for ten days test forced the then UPA government at centre to announce separate Telangana. After the statement by the central government, he gave up his protest. Thus he proved his mettle and fulfilled the aspirations of Telangana people who were subjugated by the Andhra leaders for six decades. It was KCR who restored the self-respect and self rule of Telangana people.
Mr KCR is known for his determination.
Even after formation of Telangana, the Andhra leaders and BJP continue their conspiracies against the Telangana state and its people.
First it was Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who tried to poach TRS MLCs and now it is the BJP that conspired to poach TRS MLAs. The conspiracies continue unabated.
But it is KCR who gave death blow to the two parties. Now he attacked the very arrogance of BJP leaders Amith Shah and Modi. He proved that they are not above anybody and secured clinching evidence against their conspiracy in MLAs poaching case.
Simultaneously, he focused on delivering his promises providing confidence to the people.
The TRS government recorded innumerable achievements and proved itself to be the peerless in the country with its number of welfare and development programmes. Welfare covers every section of the society. They are so popular that even the people of BJP ruled Karnataka and Maharashtra states are demanding their governments to implement KCR’s programmes or merge their villages in Telangana state. That is KCR.
