The state government issued a notification for 1,147 posts in the medical and health department

The state government has issued the notification to fill up 1,146 posts in 35 medical and health department wings.

Health minister T Harish Rao said they will be under the jurisdiction of the Director of Medical Education. Those selected would be barred from private practice. Those who had experience working on contract and outsourcing employees will be given 20 percent weightage in the selection.

This will help strengthen the newly set up medical colleges. Those between 18 to 44 years of age are eligible and their salary ranges from Rs 68,9000 to Rs 2,05,500. The last date for applying is December 20. They were all multi-zonal posts.

For posts of Assistant Professor, applications will be received from 10.30 am on December 20 and the last is January 5.

Meanwhile, addressing the media persons at Jagitial, minister Mr Harish Rao said the Kanti Velugu second phase would be launched on January 18 by the chief minister. The state government had sanctioned Rs 200 crore for the purpose. The government would be recruiting 960 doctors within one week for the world’s biggest community eye screening programme. The programme aims at conducting eye screening for three crore people and had constituted 1,500 medical teams for the purpose.

The state government would son set up dialysis centres at Bheemgal and Armoor hospitals in Nizamabad district, he added.
