President in Yadagirigutta tomorrow

The State government is making all arrangements for President Pranabh Mukherjee’s visit to Yadagirigutta, scheduled on July 5.

Mr. Mukherjee will land at an helipad near Surendrapuri in Yadagirigutta at 11.10 a.m. and will arrive at State guesthouse at 11.30 a.m. He will spend 15 minutes there before entering the temple at 11.50 a.m. After participating in special pujas for half-an-hour, he will be back in the guesthouse, from where he will leave for the helipad at 12.50 p.m. Since Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and others are also expected to accompany the President, officials have made arrangements for landing of three choppers at a time.

The sources in the temple administration told that ordinary devotees would not be allowed for darshan from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kalyanam, Homam and daily Brahmotsavam will be cancelled on Sunday. Devotees will be allowed for darshan after performing Raja Bogam at 1 p.m.

District Collector P. Satyanarayana Reddy, Superintendent of Police Vikramjeet Duggal, Temple Executive Officer N. Geetha reviewed the arrangements on Friday.

Mr. Mukherjee would be the fourth President to visit the temple after Babu Rajendra Prasad, Sarvepally Radhakrishnan and Shankar Dayal Sharma.
