The Telangana government has taken a revolutionary decision removing interviews for the Group I and Group II jobs this time.
The state government has decided to fill 503 posts in both categories. In the past the interview for Group I carried 100 marks while the interview for Group II carried 75 marks.
By scrapping interviews for the posts the Telangana government not only aims at saving time but also eliminating corruption and bringing in more transparency in recruitment.
It may be noted that in the past recommendations from influential ministers worked in favour of their candidates. Huge money used to change hands and none bothered about cries of genuinely talented candidates who were supposed to get the coveted job.
Many job aspirants are thanking chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao for his decision to do away with the interview system for Group I and Group II posts.
It may be noted that Mr KCR has announced recruitment of over 80,000 posts and the process is underway.
