When Minister KT Rama Rao came to know about the heart wrenching situation of the international footballer Md. Bir Bahadur Via Twitter who despite being skilled has been unable to meet ends. Minister KT Rama Rao immediately addressed the issue and also instructed GHMC to reintroduce the financial assistance to veteran Olympian / Ex-Sportsmen monthly honorarium of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 7,500/- per Month.
Minister KT Rama Rao directed GHMC to release Ex-Sportsmen monthly honorarium of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 7,500/- per Month to the selected players for coming one year, All these players will receive honorarium from period April-2017 to March-2018. Earlier, A financial assistance scheme was started in the month of January-2015 to January-2016.
Keeping in view the importance of sports,Minister KT Rama Rao has instructed GHMC to organise summer camps to encourage the children. The summer camps are organised under the supervision of the prominent sports personalities.
