Lone “Rapist” MLA from AP belongs to TDP

While Chandra Babu Naidu, who is on a padayatra and his son Lokesh Babu, who is on a Twitter yatra, shed crocodile tears on the Delhi Gang Rape victim, both these hypocrites have a dark secret to hide from us.

RTI activist and ADR state co-ordinator Mr Rakesh Dubbudu has just brought to the notice of Mission Telangana team about this shameful secret, which both the father and son wouldn’t want us to know.

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), is the organization behind the National Election Watch, which publishes the history of all elected representatives in our country. ADR has published a list of Indian MLAs who are facing rape charges. The list has 6 MLAs, and it has one MLA from Andhra Pradesh.

The lone MLA from Andhra Pradesh who is facing rape charges belongs to TDP and he is Kandikunta Venkata Prasad, MLA from Kadiri in Anantapur district. Here is the list of criminal cases on Kandikunta Venkata Prasad according to the ADR website. You can see that he has a case registered under IPC Section 375 (Rape)

And here is an extract from Kandikunta Venkata Prasad’s own election affidatvit, which confirms that he has a Rape charge against him:

It is a matter of great shame that TDP has allowed a person with such known record of crimes against women to contest as an MLA. We demand that before shedding crocodile tears on women safety, Chandra Babu Naidu should immediately remove Kandikunta Venkata Prasad from TDP. The honorable speaker of AP state assembly Mr Nadendla Manohar should disqualify Mr. Prasad without further delay.

While the whole country is demanding harsher laws for rapists, we have a political party in AP, which promotes rapists as lawmakers. We can never make this country safe for women if we have such people in our legislative assemblies.
