Telangana chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao should come into national politics to safeguard the country from the fascist rule of BJP, said the former chief minister of Bihar and RJD leader Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav.

It may be noted that on Tuesday, when the Bihar Assembly opposition leader and son Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mr Tejaswi Yadav called on Mr KCR at Pragathi Bhavan, the latter enquired about the health of Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav. He immediately called over the phone and had a brief talk about his health.

Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav reminded Mr KCR about his support for the cause of the separate Telangana movement. He lauded the prolonged struggle led by Mr KCR and how he realised the dream and fulfilled aspirations of Telangana people.

Mr Yadav told MR KCR that he came to know about the latter’s people-friendly ruling and his initiatives in the farm sector and irrigation development. “It is time now for you to play a key role at the national level to save the country from BJP’s anti-people ruling,” he said.

Mr KCR has become a central figure now for all the regional and national parties who have been urging him to take lead in formation of an alternate force in the country. Mr KCR had toured many states and met many leaders on this and has been expressing his unhappiness over the centre state relations for quite some time.
