Kaleshwaram Project to the rescue: Water released from Nandi, Gayatri pump houses to address water woes

Despite all the malicious propaganda against the Kaleshwaram Project, the largest lift irrigation scheme has come to the rescue to address water woes this summer. Due to mounting pressure from farmers and BRS party leaders, the Congress government has released water from the Nandi and Gayatri pump houses.

Farmers in the old Karimnagar district are experiencing a sense of relief as the water is being released. Yesterday, BRS leader Koppula Eshwar organized a 36-hour long sit-in protest demanding the Congress government to release water for farmers. Former MLA Sunke Ravishankar was arrested by the police for his demand to release water into the flood flow canal.

The BRS Party has been criticizing CM Revanth Reddy for not utilizing the potential of the Kaleshwaram Project only to defame KCR. The party is alleging that the farmers in the state are enduring hardships due to the Congress-induced drought. Though the Congress government is running a vicious propaganda campaign on the world’s largest lift irrigation project, the project is serving its intended purpose in testing times.
